Bauwerk Group Lithuania strengthens logistics in Norway with ColliCare

Bauwerk Group Lithuania has long maintained efficient full and partial load transport operations. However, to better serve the Norwegian market, the company identified the need for a reliable, high‑quality groupage solution. This led to initial discussions with ColliCare in 2022, which soon developed into a long-term logistics partnership supporting Bauwerk’s growth in Norway.

ColliCare connecting Bauwerk’s production with customers in Norway

The logistics department of Bauwerk Group Lithuania manages transport and customs operations, and the daily operational activities of the Bauwerk Group’s central warehouse in Lithuania. The team is also responsible for timely delivery of all raw materials required for uninterrupted production. In total, the department consists of 19 team members.

Every working day, parquet produced at the Kareivonys factory is transported to the Bauwerk Group’s central finished‑goods warehouse in Vievis. From there, ColliCare collects products daily and transports them directly to Norway. Using its own nationwide distribution network, ColliCare also ensures final deliveries to end customers across the country.

”For several decades, we had warehouses for finished products in Norway, to which we sent products manufactured in Lithuania, and from which small orders were later delivered to local customers. After starting to use ColliCare’s groupage services, we began to transport more and more cargo directly from Lithuania, enabling us to offer comprehensive logistics services to the Norwegian market,” says logistics team of Bauwerk Group Lithuania.

As a result, the size and need for a local warehouse in Norway has steadily decreased. This year, Bauwerk plans to phase it out entirely – a change expected to have a positive impact on overall business performance.

Reliable logistics built on longterm partnerships

Operating across diverse transport routes and handling a wide range of cargo types, Bauwerk Group Lithuania has learned that no single provider can excel in every area. Instead, they focus on collaborating with specialists who demonstrate expertise in their specific segment of the supply chain.

As the Bauwerk Group Lithuania logistics team explains:

“We don’t believe in suppliers who say they can do everything exceptionally well. We seek long-term cooperation.”

To ensure consistency, Bauwerk Group Lithuania organises an annual transport services tender covering more than 90% of its yearly shipment volumes. At the same time, the company remains proactive in expanding its partner network.

Clear and honest communication is essential. As the logistics team emphasises:

“We value efficient and direct communication, honesty, and experience. In logistics, all kinds of situations can occur, which is why we expect partners to provide accurate and timely information.”

Continuously evaluating new logistics providers helps the Bauwerk Group Lithuania adapt to changing business needs, improve service quality, and diversify operational risks.

Coordinated logistics across borders with ColliCare

Together with their colleagues in Norway, Bauwerk Group Lithuania was searching for a partner capable of providing full and complex transport solutions from Lithuania to Norway. ColliCare stood out because it operates with dedicated teams in both countries, enabling efficient communication and a clear understanding of requirements on both sides. As the logistics team shares:

“We evaluate how problems are addressed – they are analysed, structured, and specific actions are identified to eliminate recurring issues. This helps maintain and improve quality metrics. When ordering groupage services, the final stages of delivery are handled by the Norwegian division of ColliCare, but with the active involvement of the Lithuanian team, we receive the necessary responses promptly and accurately. Clear, specific, and timely information, along with open communication, are the most important qualities of ColliCare for us.”
